Oh I am SOOOOO bad! Here I have this unexpected day off because of the ice. And am I cleaning in my sewing room (that needs it desparately!)? Or am I working on any of the gift stuff I need in the next few weeks? No.........

I did start out with good intentions. I figured I'd work on the pillows for David's boss/wife. So I pulled out my bag with the fabric left from the quilt I made them last year and dumped it on the table to see what I had to work with. Okay 9 fqs of assorted prints and a yard or better of the fabrics I used for the border and backing of the quilt. Good. I can do something with these. Also 5 leftover YBR blocks from the quilt, 4 of which had already been sewn together to make a pillow front. Ooooh, nice, that's one front already done!

Then things went bad. I found another little bag. When I dumped it out I found the bits and strings left from cutting the YBR quilt. AND two stockings that I started last year on Christmas Day for David and me. I had forgotten all about them. One stocking front is complete and the other just needs to have a one more section done. So guess what I'm working on! LOL!!!!

The patchwork stockings are so GREAT though!! I think since they ARE half finished, it will give you a quick finish feeling to get them done and use them THIS YEAR!

I would have gone for the stockings too. They will be done sooner than the pillowcase would have been and then you can hang them up and enjoy them while you are working on the pillowcases! They are very cute!!

Hi Nancy, Thanks for your nice comments about my bullseye and gratitudes :) How are your pillows/stockings coming along?

I am ooohhh-ing and aaaahhhh-ing. Years ago my dear, sweet Nana made us all patchwork stockings and I still have mine! I LOVE it. Make the stockings and treasure them for years to come. Makes me think that I should find a pattern to make my son a stocking soon - he is 2.5 years old and Momma's BIGGEST quilt fan - steals everything I make!

Cheers
