Things I'm grateful for today:

2. A DH who had the know how to fix my AC. And with only a minor amount of cursing and no input required from me except to fetch and tote and hold the flashlight.
3. My fur babies. Especially George who likes to cuddle with me at night.
4. My laptop and wireless keyboard/mouse that let me lay in my recliner after a long hard day and still be connected to the world.
5. My health. Alhtough it isn't great, I'm alive. Unlike the friend who died unexpectedly yesterday of a heart attack.

It might seem odd to be using the a/c already but I know you have had some hot, hot days over in TX. Heading my way this weeekend. I told DJ summer seems to last about 9 months here once it starts. Sad about your friend--I had the same thing happen this weekend.

The quilts are looking good. The young lady will love the bright colors in the Bento boxes and you will like doing the Bear Paw's much better now with a few years more quilting experience behind you.

It sounds like you are back to your perky self with the AC humming again. Sorry about your friend.

I'm sorry for your loss.

We're very lucky to be able to share this day together.

And I would have melted without my air conditioning yesterday. The homes here are wide open. Not too much insulation and lots of windows and sun.

Wishing you wonderful day. I'm going to go look at your beautiful quilts again. I smiled when I saw the Bento Box quilt. And what a great job you do on the Bear's Paw blocks. I appreciated each one of those sharp, matching points.
