Niles and I are packed and ready to go.

I'll be leaving early in the morning for my quilt retreat. Niles Zacchaeus has traveled from Oregon to join me on my journey. We'll be driving to Dallas in the morning where we'll meet up with my friends Charlotte and Sharon. From there we'll be driving to Nashville, TN to spend the night. Then on to Yoder's Quilting Lodge in Crossville, TN. Of course we'll be shop hopping from Nashville to Yoders and will be visiting several quilt shops in the Crossville area so lots of serious stash enhancement opportunities this trip. :-) Niles has decided he might just start a stash of his own so no telling what he's going back to Oregon with.

Quilt Pixie asked how you play FQ bingo. YOu just play regular bingo but you buy your cards with Fat Quarters. One FQ per card. I'll be playing 2 cards at a time so I'm taking 1/2 yd cuts to play with.

It's amazing the amount of luggage it takes to go on quilt retreat! One suitcase for clothes and projects. One suitcase for gifts. Another suitcase with the stuff I'll need for the overnight stay in NAshville (so I won't have to drag the big suitcase out then.) A bag for my sewing machine. Another for my tools and gadgets. Purse, laptop, cooler for drinks/snacks and my own pillow. It's a good thing we're going in a van! My poor little car is going to be loaded down. Not sure where I'll put me and Niles!

You ladies have a great week and I'll check back in when I get home next Monday.

So if the bingo cards are "paid" for with FQs, does that mean the payoffs for BINGO are FABRIC?????? If so, how much more fun can that get? Have a great time, baby girl. I love you and will see you in a couple of months for you to teach me what to do with these tops I'm accumulating.

I was wondering how far a drive it was but after seeing what your packing I guess driving was the ONLY option. Have fun.

Niles, be good! Be nice to Nancy, remember your manors. I am so excited to hear all about your trip when you arrive back home!

Nancy, if Niles gets mischievious, I can only say he comes by it naturally! Sorry, it runs in the family.

I hope you have a great time, Nancy. You certainly deserve it. I have friend in TN who has been on group trips to Yoder's a couple of times and they had a grand time. Repeat business is always good. Hope Niles is behaving himself!
