Day 15

Guess what? I sewed! I sewed! I sewed! I sewed! I sewed!!!!!!!!! Can you see me doing the happy dance. Or you'd see me doing the happy dance if my feet and ankles weren't so swollen from sitting all day at work and then for 3-1/2 hours tonight at the sewing machine! But I'm all caught up and ready to do the next step after supper tomorrow. For 1 hour only. I can handle that but not the marathon session I did tonight. But I got all my HSTs done, done, done. From drawing the lines on the back of my white nickels, sewing on both lines, cutting apart, pressing, and trimming down. See how nice they turned out in the picture below. I spread a selection of them out so you could get an idea of the assortment of fabrics I used. And the lighter nickles spread out will have the small squares that go around the perimeter of the block cut from them. And in the back you see my stack of background pieces and the small squares for the centers of the blocks. So whatever our assignment is tomorrow I'm ready. Bring in on, Judy!

Those are wonderful! This is going to be such a lovely scrappy quilt top when you finish. I can't imagine sitting to sew for over 3 hours after working all day. Eeek! But . . . you sewed!

I'm so happy for you Nancy.Don't dance to much or you'll end up in the hospital like me HAHAHAHA! I know how good it feels to make a lot of HST's. I like your colors. Sorry to hear about your swollen ankles, not fun. Yesterday, I was so totally tired after dishing out so much mashed potatoe and jello to the kids at school I didn't even go into my sewing room.

you go girl! Glad you finally got your chance to sew. Feels so good, doesn't it? Having a little challenge kind of nudges us into doing things that we would normally pass off until later (which never happens!)

Good girl! look how much progress you made. Now to figure out if one can successfully sew with ones feet propped up....maybe if you duct tape the foot pedal to the wall behind the sewing machine......

I am so thrilled that you have kept up with your daily (pretty much) sewing...I pulled the fencerail blocks you sent, I think those will get worked on first, thanks again for the WTIL donations you sent to me.

Your scrappy version is going to look so totally cool. Sounds like you are pretty much sticking to the sewing plans and definitely your "no buy" this month.

I just noticed that somehow you got dropped from my Bloglines. I don't know when that happened but now I have some reading to do. :) Great job!

I really enjoyed seeing your fabric selection for the hst's. I zoomed in and WOW! a lot of those same prints live in /my/ stash. :D Those are the sort of prints that quilters in my guild put on the freebee table... too calico. Can you imagine?? Just means more for me, I always say.
