Day 2

Not a bad night for day 2. I spent an hour tonight sewing squares together. I got all the first step done and have most of them pressed. Before I go to bed I'll go back and finish pressing the rest of them so I can start fresh on the next step tomorrow night.

I had a new helper cat tonight. Of my 5 cats that come in and out Fluffy rarely spends more than 10 or 15 minutes in at a time. But tonight he decided he'd wedge himself in the shoebox I keep beside my machine to put scraps in that need to be cut down into bricks and squares. Huh, maybe the reason he's stayed so long is because he really is wedged in? Guess I might oughta go see if he needs rescued. BTW, that fabric you see in the picture are the border pieces for the project I'm working on.

cats are such a trip---hope he managed to riggle out of there without your help. Good deal on the squares sewing and staying on task.

How DARE you tease us with only glimpses of the border. Can't wait to see what fabrics and pattern go with that glorious fabric. BTW, the postal service tried to deliver my package of 30's today, and said they left a notice, but no notice in mailbox or on the door. sending Ashley to the post office in the morning with the tracking number printed off the net to try to retrieve my package. Will post pictures when I get it, then we can start chosing our blocks.

Silly kitty - they really can wedge into some tight spots! (I think the fur works like butter - so they can escape.)

glad you had company while you sewed tonight... but whatever did you do with the scraps if he was in your box :-)

Maybe he just wanted some heat relief. LOL!

It really cracks me up all the spots that cats like to hang out!! I love it! Hope he wasn't really stuck! :)

Oh, cats are such a riot. I like how they get into some funny position like that and then wait with complete patience for you to notice how funny it is. The border fabric is very pretty.

They love to wedge themselves into the smallest spaces!!

Kitties can squeeze into the smallest places. I'm always amazed as some of the pictures I see. What fun animals they are to watch! I'd so love to have a kitty, but my husband says "No, we aren't cat people." Maybe some day I'll be able to talk him into it.

He looks similar to my cats. They are both black and white. And they love to sleep in the laundry basket and on my fabric....It is a never ending battle to be kitty hair free. LOL. I know you understand with 5.

Hi Nancy, love the picture of Fluffy. He might be wedged or not, but he sure looks happy and confortable to me..*VBS* They sure do unpredictable things, don't they?? LOL....

Hope you can keep up the good work you've got going, but if not...life will still be ok and there is always tomorrow. Sometimes it's so hard to be motivated in August..*VBS* Hugs, Finn

Cats always manage to look so silly and so dignified at the same time. Fluffy's black and white coloring makes a good contrast to that beautiful pink and green border.
