Vicky posted a Gold Star for everyone who made it thru the August Fabric Depession without buying. I know August isn't quite over yet, but come on. If you made it this far I just know your going to finish so go ahead. Take your star. :-)
Passionate quilter asked how she could get the star for her own blog.
1. Go here and right click over the URL at the top of the brower.
2. Go to your blog and sign-in to add a post.
3. Click the little picture to add a picture. On the right side of the screen that pops up is a place to put the url of a picture on the web you want to link to. Just paste the link you copied from Vicky's site there and upload like you would if you were putting up a picture of your computer.
It's as easy as that. :-) So go ahead. Take yourself a star and pat yourself on the back for a job well done.

If it helps you get through this very last day... of ALL the bloggers who participated in the No Buy August - I have been really rooting for you. Honestly! Maybe just because I thought you really needed an extra person crossing their fingers for you. You can do it!!! Don't even turn on the computer tonight if that is what it takes!!!
Cheers!
Evelyn
Atta girl!!! You did it!!!!!
Jeanne :)
Thanks Nancy for the mini tutorial--I was having a major brain fart this morning I guess! I ended up saving the picture and then pulling it from my own computer. I never even noticed the URL one, cuz I never use it I guess! Duh!
Thanks for the tutorial, Nancy. I'm such a computer doofus! :)
I like McIrish Annie's suggestion! ROFLOL! Bet that would get a few looks!
(Hugs)
Congrats to you for your strong will. Hope you find something utterly delicious with your gift certificate tommorrow. :-)
Well, I'm not going to get the gold star since I did buy fabric - even though it was just one piece and it was on sale and for a backing .. I still bought fabric.
Congratulations to those of you who didn't.

Congratulations! I also made it through August keeping my personal challenge to not buy any quilt books and to not start any new projects. However, I've got fabric lined up for a new project ready to go and I'll be heading to the bookstore soon!
No gold star for me but that is ok for a couple of reasons:
#1 I didn't commit to the challenge
#2 What I did buy was immediately cut and sewn into 2 wonky wallhangings that only need to have the binding sewn down and they will be finished!!
So I am feeling as victorious as you! Congratulations to us both!!!
well done on making it right through August without any fabric purchases.
hooray on a gold star well earned!
Congratulations to all of you who earned a gold star!
Nancy, I love the faux log cabin. You are right - a perfect quilt for fall. And a perfect project to finish so you can display it proudly. I challenge you to have it finished this fall in time to use it!
way to go Nancy! you earned your gold star and I am so pleased for you.
I should have read your post this morning, Nancy. I wrote out the URL on a piece of paper and then typed it in.
Good for you, Nancy. I've really been rooting for you. I know what you mean about a slump. I think what happens is that our brains are on overload and just decide to not accept any new data. Sounds good, doesnt' it?
