Sorry, intended recipient. I'm sure glad I didn't tell you Chocolat Weave was yours. Cause when I showed it to David his response was, "So you're finally making a quilt for us?" Guess it's a good thing I hadn't cut the borders yet cause I'll need to buy one more Caramel or Cream to make it one row wider to fit our king bed. And something for the the back cause I'll probably use my leftovers for pillowcases and shams. Oh and then I'll have to change out the navy drapes in there but that's not exactly a BAD thing. And of course after that I'll have to change out the curtains and shower curtain in the attached bathroom. And maybe get new towels in brown, cream, and red. LOL! It's funny, this is the first quilt I've made in a very long time that David has shown any enthusiasm for and I didn't really think he'd like it at all. But then he wears plaid shirts pretty much exclusively so maybe it just looks "plaid" to him. LOL!

Off to Z&S fabrics to find another light. And then probably to Thousands of Bolts to see what I can find for backing and maybe curtains to match. So my quilting machine will be put off a month. I get a new look for my bedroom out of the deal so I'm willing to wait a bit more. **VVBS**

How funny! It just keeps snowballing. I got tired of changing the curtains in the bedroom so I made some Warm Window Shade and used a neutral fabric. Now I can change the look of the room by just changing the quilt.

Lots of fun to be had in your house, Nancy, what with changing out everything! :D Isn't it always a nice surprise when the hubby's shows a specific interest...seems to be a rare occurence for lots of quilters. :)

How nice that Hubby likes this quilt -- I have to agree with him, though. These are just some wonderful fabrics and really draw the eye in. Have fun decorating *s*

OK, I will try not to be too disappointed by not recieving this beautiful quilt. LOL!!

I showed Ed this quilt, the first thing he said was, "her kitty is on it" the second thing he said was "that would be a nice quilt for our bed! LOL Since we remodeled the kitchen and bedroom last spring we have not had a quilt on the bed. He is so funny. I figure I have time yet as I just pulled our Christmas quilt out for the bed and it will stay on there until the end of January, after that we will go back to the solid yellow sheet laid across the quilts. Can't have a pink and green quilt in a yellow and blue bedroom!!!

Enjoy the re-do on your bedroom, after we did ours it is my favorite room in the house!

Live for today Nancy and enjoy your new-look bedroom - the quilting machine can wait. I wonder if it's those warm colours that men go for?

Isn't it exciting when you finally find a pattern and the perfect fabrics that not only you, but your sweetie love. You will so enjoy redoing your bedroom. It will make it look new again. I love the way the quilt is coming out. I think using the left overs for pillowcases and shams is a great idea. It will pull it all together perfectly.

Well, it looks like it is a done deal and the intended receipient will have to wait, LOL. Anytime they like one we do then you have to jump on it--that's how it works at my house too.

Isn't it great to get that kind of enthusiastic reaction to a quilt-and an excuse to shop!

it's so nice when DHs like the quilts we make. Great idea using leftover fabrics for the pillowcases and shams.
