I fell in love with this pattern when I saw it and have been searching for just the right fabrics for almost a year now. Then I found the Chocolat fabrics and fell in love with them and I knew I finally had the fabrics for my Weave pattern. I've been spending my hour a day the last 2 days cutting out my pieces. Tonight I get to sew! It's not really a difficult pattern to sew but I'll have to be very careful with my fabric placement. Once again I have no clue what I'll do with this quilt when it's finished as it doesn't go with anything in my house. But I just HAVE to make this quilt so I'll worry about what to do with it after it's finished. :-)
A few notes re: comments.
I've had a few people say when they leave a comment it get's returned to them as undeliverable email. There are about 6 people who regularly comment on my blog who's comments will not forward to my personal email. I'm not sure why but please know I do also read comments from my blog itself every day so I do get all your comments.
I've also had non-bloggers email me which I love. And several have said they didn't know if it was appropriate for them to comment if they didn't have a blog. YES PLEASE DO! I have my comments set to allow anonymous so feel free to say whatever you want. Of course if it's obscene or in any other way objectionable I can promise you I will be deleting it. But I've only had to do that once and it was from a spammer back before I turned on the word verificaiton feature. But if you still don't feel comfortable leaving a public comment please don't hesitate to email me if you'd like. My email address is in my profile.
Also if you make a comment that asks a direct question or send a private email and I don't respond right away, I'm really not ignoring you. I find if I respond to every comment or email then I spend a lot of time on the computer just righting replies. On top of the time I spend reading/commenting on your blogs. So if I want to actually DO any quilting rather than read/write about it I have to let something slide. Comments and emails tend to be that something. Then a few days will pass and I'll forget I wanted/needed to respond. I'm trying to get better but please just know it's a flaw in my makeup (can't remember stuff more than 3 seconds!) and I'm really not ignoring you.
Gotta get off my duff and get to work. See ya tonight.

your red fabrics, with the golden patterns, are so very rich. All those fabrics blend together so well. Maybe you could be my colourist....
YUMMY....beautiful fabs, wonderful pattern...this will be a treasure for sure!
I agree, using the leftover on the back will be a nice way to keep it from becoming stash, I will assume there will still be bits and pieces that will go into the scrap bag and crop up in some project for you down the road.
Oh YUMMMY!!!! I want some Chocolat please!! :) What gorgeous fabric!!
That fabric is stunning! Can't wait to see the quilt finished.
It's going to be a beautiful quilt Nancy. I love the idea of the leftovers for the back. Who says the back should be made from fabrics of lesser quality? Maybe a wall hanging, but a throw or a bed quilt? The back will certainly be visible at some time.
Chocolat is delicious *s* This is going to be a wonderful quilt. I have gotten to where I use up leftovers on the back, if I can. Particularly when I am using fabric that isn't neccessarily "me" but I just had to have it.
Yum - that is lucious fabric - and I love the pattern you chose.
Great pattern, great fabrics. I await the completed quilt.
Neat fabrics & neat pattern! Took me quite a while to figure out the blue... (My brain kept processing that as carpet... No idea why...)
Love, love that fabric. When I saw it I went down to my sewing room because I thought I had bought a fat quarter bundle of that very fabric -- I did but in blue. I love the chocolat. It will look great with that pattern. Happy quilting.
The fabrics are so rich and georgous. They will make a beautiful quilt!
I love the fabrics. I have them in my stash too. I have never heard about that magazine. Perhaps you could take a photo of the quilt you are going to do.
I am a bit curious since I do not know what to do with my fabrics.
The fabrics are beautiful and luxurious. I agree with using the left-overs as the backing. The back of a bed quilt gets as much or more "wear" than the top.
hi Nancy, I love your Chocolate or chocolat fabrics. The colors are soooo yummy...looks like carmels and chocolate to me..my favorite combination!!
The pattern looks really interesting. I like the idea of the "weave". I took one look at that Weaver Fever pattern from years back and knew I'd be insane before it was finished. I have trouble getting a Trip Around the World in the right order..LOL
Can hardly wait to see your progress. The fabrics are perfect for this pattern. Hugs, Finn
Those fabrics are yummy. But since I am still on the fence with not buying fabric, I will have to live vicariously through your purchase! Can't wait to see the quilt.
I can't wait to see the quilt. The fabrics are great!
I fell in love with Chocolat too. I love that pattern, but I have never seen it before. I'm going to google the magazine to see where I can find a copy...Google is my friend :::grin::::
Oh beautiful :D I cant wait to see your progress on this! xoxo melzie
That fabric is gorgeous! I'll have to leave some space in my suitcase when I visit the states next month!

Lovely fabric and pattern! I've been wanting to buy some Chocolat to make a quilt for my folks' living room, as it would be a perfect match. So, I know where your quilt qould look good ;-)
WOW -- love that pattern and those fabrics! What a good eye you have. I'm going to look for that pattern right now.......
I love that pattern and the fabric you chose is perfect! I'm off to see if I can find a copy of that magazine...
can't wait to see the quilt made with those fabrics. I have been tempted to buy some of that range of fabric for awhile now but i have been very good and using what's in my stash as much as possible.
hurray for a new project using a sought after pattern and the perfect fabric-gee, life just doesn't get any better!
I enjoy reading your blog. As one kitty mommy to another, thought you might enjoy seeing my latest post from The Mgmt! LOL

Oh, HELLO, LOVE that pattern! Love it! I might have to look up that magazine and buy it. Even though I have already spent my limit in the magazine budget dept. this month.
I think that might make a nice quilt for my boys' room. I have been looking for something that isn't frilly frew frew to make for their beds.
what an intriguing pattern, Nancy. I saw some of those fabrics today as I tried to find the right shade of taupey beigey brown for my obligation work. I thought--ah, so that's what Nancy had just got! Such rich colors.
Nancy, that is absolutely stunning!! Gorgeous!! I keep coming back and looking -- uh oh!
Great selection of fabrics and pattern! You definitely get the award du jour!
(Hugs)
