Well it's done. That grape fabric is now out of my stash. Thank you, Judy, for the push to USE my stash instead of hoarding it. I have just enough left to make a pillowcase using the grapes as the main fabric, and a purple cuff. Oh and the leaves for the lining. And there's enough of the purple for the binding. I'll go ahead and make those tommorow and then anything left gets cut up into strips/squares/bricks. NONE of it will go back in my stash.
Notice something strange about it? Something you don't normally see on tops I show? I'll give you a hint. See those purple things on the side? Those are BORDERS. LOL! I'm the worlds worst at letting things sit waiting for borders. And why? They really only took me about 30 minutes tonight to put on. But for some reason I seem to be border challenged. So that's something else I'm trying to work on this year. Putting the borders on before I pack tops away awaiting their turn at quilting. And I'm going to make sure they're put away with backing and binding folded with them so I'm not searching for those things when it's time to quilt.
Now I can go back to my red/white 9-patches. I'd like to get those tops finished this week so I can get them in the mail. And move on to the new Hour-a-day. So many projects. So little time.

You accepted the challenge and finished your top in record time! Congratulations! I love your quilt! That pattern is one of my favorites.
Way to go, Nancy!
psst - do you hear those Chocolate Bunnies calling your name??? teehee!
I too am something of a border challenged individual... I stall and stall, somehow afraid the long cut will be wrong or it wont sew on right or something... Congrats on using up the grapes!
Woww Nancy, that was quick!! seems like you are getting more quilting done now that you have no "goals" on the sidebar!! Good for you!
Awesome, Nancy! You took the challenge and set the speed record for getting it done! The top is just lovely. And hooray for gettig those borders on. Now get those leftovers cut into strips!! Way to stashbust!
Good for you Nancy for getting your borders done. I will be posting mine soon. I really like that purple fabric. Really zings up the quilt.
So it is called border challenged, I thought I was just lazy.
Great Quilt!
Congratulations on letting that special piece of fabric go. I'm always happy when I finally see my favourite fabric in a quilt.
Wow! That quilt is so cool and you did it so fast! I hope you save that one for yourself.
It's great! Hooray for such an awesome stash project!
Your Challenge top is great! I'll be sending you the bindings for your string quilts this weekend.

very nice Nancy. You got this quilt top done quickly and with a border!
hurray for using those special fabrics and putting a border on and having a finished top!!! way to go Nancy-it came out great.
Well done, Nancy! I have always liked this pattern and I think that the Warm Wishes one that is on the Quiltmakers or QNM site is very similiar--makes you wonder which one came first. So one challenge met--hooray!
Great quilt Nancy! Great job! You must be so pleased. I love it when I take a fabric that I've loved for a long time but never used and make something great out of it.
Lovely quilt top Nancy !
