First row done

WOW! New posts 2 days in a row!!!

I put in my hour tonight working on the first row for the row swap I mentioned yesterday. Colette and Trish both requested Thimbleberry fabrics for their rows. In case you haven't noticed I am so NOT into Thimbleberries. But if I can inflict pink/purple/gray on them I can do make myself use TB fabrics. LOL! Last month I ordered a selection for the swap and tonight I made Colette's row. Colette likes scrappy so hers is more "anything goes". Trish likes more co-ordinated quilts so hers will have a more limited palette and a different arrangement. I should be able to do hers tomorrow night. I do quite like the way this turned out even if it isn't quite my normal style.

NO this isn't my car! I was waiting in the car yesterday for David to come out of Best Buy and I noticed these 2 cars a few spaces down. For some reason they struck me as funny. Kinda a "Daddy Car/Baby Car" kinda picture. :-)

That baby car photo is why I hate SUV's - those of us in baby cars can't see around them... Why are you breaking? Oh becasue you have big feet & want to aggravate me, thanks. Now let me get in front of you because you can see around me! Sorry for the rant... I had a crappy commute this mornign at 6 instead of 5:45 - waht a differnce 15 minutes makes... But I do have dinner in the crock pot!

What a great picture of the cars. I agree with Leah, I bet the baby cost more than the daddy.

I'm not a Thimbleberries person either. But I do like your row.

The rows are so simple and so cool. I don't even HAVE TB fabric, but these fabrics are lovely!

BTW - congrats on having your camera with you - yes, it's a clever picture!

Good thing you said it wasn't your new car - I thought - ohhh, pretty cool car you got there :))
Great picture.

Have fun with the row quilt. I don't even think I have any Thimbleberry fabric, but I did make a Thimbleberry quilt years ago.

But we have a car like that. =) Our's is Silver (not gray)... and as a Mazda the payments weren't painful. I/we get so many comments on it, it's amusing. I guess because it's only 13 ft long... ;)

I notice these things too! I need to carry my camera with me more or used my phone camera! Just gotta get that darn cable!

Your row is really coming along!

Nope, the baby costs a lot less than the daddy. When I moved to CA, I was driving what was a big SUV at that time, an Isuzu Trooper. It was too much for me to handle in this traffic. I wanted something a lot smaller. So got a white Miata. I was so scared driving that thing out here! I traded it with 11,000 miles on it --well, I traded it because I had shattered my shoulder and needed to get wheels with an automatic transmission. But I was real glad to get rid of it. They're a ton of fun to drive, but I was just freaking in it all the time because of folks pulling over on me because they couldn't see it.

Your row is gorgeous. Can't wait to see this beauty altogether!

I admire you for being able to work out of your own color palette! That's so hard for me to do!

Great photo!

I like to look at other's quilts with Thimbleberries fabric but don't use the fabric my self.

Square in a square block is an old favorite of mine - your row looks great!

Cheers!
