Good Morning! What a lovely weekend I had. First, I met my new great-niece. What a TINY little cutie! And David's sister (the new granny)and brother and their families were all down. We had a nice reunion Saturday and I even got a little work done on the baby quilt Sunday. I went back to my original plan and will use the square-in-a-square blocks instead of the kitty panels I bought. Her parents are both big dog people and not into cats at all so this will be a better choice. The panels I'll use in a charity quilt so no waste there.
Then yesterday my friend Lewis and his wife Sharon came in for a visit. He was in Dallas for the weekend and decided to make a detour on the way home. We haven't seen them for several years since they were out of town when we went back home to MS for Mama's funeral. We had a nice visit then took them out for supper at a Chinese place we've been wanting to try. If it had been me I'm not sure I would have made a 4 hour detour for a 4 hour visit, but I really enjoyed seeing them again so I'm glad they did.
And now it's back to the grind today. UGH! Sure wish I could quit work and stay home. So much lovely quilting time wasted. But unless I win the lottery I don't see that happening anytime soon. Oh well, I'd probably be bored silly within a month if I didn't have someplace to go every day.
