My brother is here for a visit so no sewing going on here since Thursday. I did do a little more on the stockings but that's about all. I hope to get them and the pillows finished this weekend so I can finish my Crazy 9-patch Christmas quilt. I'd really love to have it ready to cuddle under on Christmas Day.

In the meantime I'll share one of my UFOs with you. This top was done a few years ago when I was working on finishing up UFOs once before. The bears paw blocks were from a swap on a list I belong to. It was our first swap and is our "official" group block. Everyone had fits with the HSTs trying to get them all pointed the right way. Most everyone swore they'd never do another bears pay block as long as they lived. A year after we formed we had an online anniversary party. One of the special projects we did that day was a simple mystery I designed. My sense of humor being a bit twisted as it is I designed the large reverse bears paw that is in the center. When I married the 2 ufos together I ended up with a square quilt. I wanted it to be a bit bigger and rectangular so I could snuggle under it. I dug thru my stash and found the blocks that I used to fill out the top and bottom. They have bears in all kinds of cutesy poses in the same country colors that are in the rest of the quilt. I love this quilt and want to hand quilt it. Just haven't found the time yet.

BTW the lights in this quilt are not bright white as the picture shows. This was taken with my old digital camera that did not take very good pictures. The lights are actually done with scrappy wow and coc.

OHHH I like it! My GF made a bears paw quilt with bear novelty prints as the block....

I have a quilt pattern (Was a free mystery a long time ago & it was published in a magazine last year - now for sale somewhere - let me know if you want the URL - I can find it.) that has a momma cat surrounded by kittens...

I tweaked it, now my momma will be on 1 side by herself with the kittens on the other side - I made way too may kittens for a regular 1 top quilt!
