The pattern is loosely based on one I saw in a magazine a few years ago. The idea has perculated in the back of my brain for several years and this is my interpretation. I love drunkard's path quilts and knew when I saw the one in the magazine that one day I'd do one similar.
This is made totally from my stash and will bust about 6 yds once I finish piecing the back. I had 7 FQs, 1 yd. of the red, 2 yds. of the blue and will fill out with the black wherever I need it to get the back up to the right size. Then it will be bound in black. It will have circles quilted in the circles and a diagonal crosshatch thru the rest of it. Not sure about the borders yet. I'll decide that when it gets that far. This one will be hand-quilted and will bump all other hand-work projects aside until it's finished. (Can you tell I REALLY like this one?)

cool quilt - I can see circles appliqued on the blue border print - or maybe orange thread used for quilting using the circle as a motif....
That's great Nancy, I really like it! The bright colors are awesome and the pattern is so unique!! Good job!
great job Nancy! I love the bright colors! Doesn't it feel great to get another top done? And using all that stash too!

What an unusual, interesting pattern! Great job of designing and great use of stash! I think the bright colors really help to make this one.
I have never been brave enough to attempt rounded seams! Great job - I see that you are back in the groove of sewing and busting your stash!
Cheers!

Really love this one Nancy..*VBS* It certainly is a happy quilt..and I can see why it'll get quilted right away..good job! And on the stash busting too! I was so pleased to do that with my railroad crossing..lots of stash used!
I love this top as well and the design is lovely. I love the combination of stripes and plains with the circles and sqs. Another great way to use stash too.
what a truly wonderful quilt-isn't it smashing when you can imagine a quilt design and have it come so together? and great use of colors and stash...very very nice. I am sure you will enjoy hand quilting on this one!
Nice and cheery. I like it a lot.

What a wonderful version of Drunkard's Path. It turned out wonderfully, and I can understand why it'll push many another quilting project aside!
Good for you on the stashbusting. I like that quilt too. I think I remember seeing something like that in a magazine too and the thought crossed my mind that I might make it someday. I had forgotten about it til seeing yours.
And, you're going to hand quilt it? That will make it REALLY nice!
