I haven't finished my new project yet. I tried to sew last night but my old faithful sewing chair broke and I just can't sew from a straight chair. I'd try to roll between the sewing machine and ironing board and stop short every time. Usually jarring my back in the process.

I think I'm in mourning over a chair. Isn't that sad? But that chair fit my behind just right and was like a member of the family. For the past 10 years I've sat and stitched in that chair for many an hour. I bought it not long after I got serious about quilting so it's seen all of my projects started and even a few of them finished. LOL! Once I take it out of the house at least 3 of my 5 cats are going to miss it too. They fight over who gets to sit in THE chair. One would even claw me in the butt if I sat in HER chair too long. LOL!

So off to Office Depot I went this afternoon and bought me a new chair. Isn't it pretty with it's suede leather upholstery? Doesn't the old one with 10 years of cat hair embedded in the fabric look REALLY sad next to it? I gave my new friend a test run tonight and was able to finish my stripsets for my new project. It's a nice chair. Comfortable. Good back support. I know I'll grow to like it but for now it just doesn't feel right. :-(

Nancy,
WOOHOO...a new chair! It looks WAY more comfy than your old one...but I truly understand the memories wrapped in that one!

The quilt below is great as well!

so sad to lose an old, trusty friend. So, we'll mourn her for a few days and allow the new one to take up residence in your life! LOL
