Mary asked if I was going to have to fill my shelves back up. You tell me! This is one of 3 cabinets. The others are roughly filled about the same. Some shelves more, some less depending on how much I have of a particular color or type. My sewing room is very small so this is the only one I could be back far enough from to get most of it in. The bottom shelf didn't fit in the picture but if you scroll down to yesterday's photo of the cat in the stash that shelf is the one Charlie is sitting on.

This cabinet holds my blues, greens, gray/black/black and whites, and 2 shelves for backgrounds. This is everything from about 1/4 yd and up. The smaller bits are in plastic shoeboxes on top of some plastic drawers in the corner that hold my asst. strips. Those you get to see once the room is clean as that corner is REALLY messy right now. LOL!

The next cabinet holds reds, pinks/purples, yellow/orange/brown, floral, and large cuts (4+yds) for backings/borders. The last cabinet has collections - fabrics I've bought or pulled because they look great together and are waiting for inspiration to decide what to do with them, cats/orientals,batiks,novelties/multi-colors that couldn't be sorted into my color shelves, and the bottom will hold my Christmas fabric. That's the only shelf I haven't unboxed the fabric for yet.

There are some holes I need to fill. Orange, brown, purple, gray, and black specifically. But getting this organized has let me see where I'm short so when I do hit the fabric stores I know what to be looking for. I do think I've ended up with a much more usable stash that's not so overwhelming to deal with. And one that I won't feel guilty about participating in a little S.E.X. upon occasion and wonder where in heck I'm going to put my new acquisitions.
