Election Day

Today is election day so don't forget to vote. Whether you're Republican or Democrat or Libertarian or Reform Party or Green Party or Independent or any of the other parties that I can't think of right now - GO VOTE!

We in the USA are fortunate to have this opportunity to voice our opinion. We can vote for the candidate who best shares our beliefs and values. Many people across the world can not. In my opinion it's not just a right but also an obligation to vote. If you do not vote then you have NO RIGHT TO COMPLAIN when the "government" isn't run the way you want. So VOTE!

I'll be stepping down off my soapbox now. :-)

thanks Nancy!! One of the first things I had my son do when he turned 18 was register to vote. We need to get the young people, our sons and daughter, nieces and nephews, involved in the political process.

I was there at 6:30 am before work with the newfangled machines!! all went well no hanging chad LOL

That's my hot button - people who complain loudly about the government, then admit they don't vote. That's one reason we often don't elect the best candidate.

We voted yesterday - our entire state is mail-in ballots now for every election.

I asked my assistant if she was going to vote...She said "Oh no, I don't get involved in that." I nearly fell over! You keep hanging out on that soapbox!
