You might have to click the picture up bigger to see it. Go ahead. I'll wait.
Did you see it? I buy very few patterns choosing to get my ideas from online sources or from books and magazines or I just make them up as I go along. Okay so I'll also admit to looking at a picture of a quilt and saying, "I can do that without a pattern." And I do! But there are a few patterns I've come across in recent years that I just couldn't resist buying. As I was gathering my patterns from where they've gotten scattered to all over the house I noticed a definite trend here. Except for the 4 Atkinson Design patterns and 3 other assorted scrappy patterns I have these are the rest of my pattern collection. And have I made a single one? NOPE! But one day.....

A trend? Can you say cats? If I'm looking correctly it appears that every one of these has a cat on it somewhere LOL! I'm with you but 10 times worse - lots and lots of patterns but few of them made. Wait until I retire and then watch me!
Really I'm impressed that you have so few patterns. I've got a billion of them and usually don't even make them up; just use them for inspiration. Think of how much money was wasted that could have been used for fabric! :) Of course, that then goes back to the problem of fabric storage and organization. (sigh) It's a never-ending process!
Love your kitty cat patterns! You need to choose one and just do it - in your nicely organized sewing room! Of course, that then would mess it up. (sigh)
And I thought I had all the cat patterns...LOL...But would you believe I don't have a single one of those. Over the last few years I too started collecting kitty patterns when our cat family grew to 9 after hubby moved in with us...LOL.... If you ever want to purge some of those cute kitty patterns just let me know...perhaps we can work out some sort of trade :)
I haven't commented on your blog before, but must say I am impressed with what you are doing in your Sewing room. Keep up the good work, but save some Play time. After all, that is why we have a sewing room!!!! I have been reading your blog for sometime, so feel as though I know you. So tomorrow grab some time for quilting memories!!!
won't you have fun when you pick one and make it? and have you done your 30 minutes today???
I own several of those patterns - not all of them, but several. (I buy them to support those that support my love!)
Well...change your "cat" theme to my "snowman" theme, lol.
I love the McKenna Ryan pattern tho!
Get in some time on that room darlin'...we're watchin'!
Hi Nancy,
I got to participate in the siggy swap and it was fun to see who got the prize! Since you are frome Texas I thought you should stop by my blog and see the UT quilt I am making for my son, a hugh UT fan. I am also a fellow cat lover, we have 5, how many do you have? There are a few pics of the cats there too.
~Pam
Fortunately for me, I have never bought a pattern so far, got everything from magazines (have loads of these), internet, ...
Congrat on your Super Siggy, I was not that lucky, but then I know Bea personally so I am lucky in a way too! Take care.
