Play day

I started out with the best intentions this morning. I was trying to clean up some of the mess in my sewing room and was sorting some bits and pieces that had been put back to strip up into scraps. I ran across this long skinny stripe with rabbits and carrots that had been given to me with a bunch of other saleman's ordering swatches and was trying to figure out how best to strip it up to get the most use from the fabric. And then it occurred to me that you know Easter is next weekend and I've never made an Easter wall-hanging and it does have rabbits on it that COULD be Easter Bunnies. So OF COURSE I had to stop cleaning so I could start on it right away. LOL!

It had 3 full stripes so I cut it apart between them and inserted the words "Hoppy" and "Easter" using Tonya's wonky letters. It's not perfect but I'm happy with it so that's all I care about. I did say I was going to be doing more small, fun things didn't I? Just didn't mean to stop in the middle of cleaning and make a wall-hanging. LOL!

What a cute little wall hanging! I think your diversion from cleaning is totally acceptable and a lot more fun! *VBG*

Perhaps you should start cleaning more often. Who knows what you're liable to find? That wall hanging is adorable!

boy--does that ever sound familiar! hahaha sewing a little wallhanging is SO much more fun than cleaning! How cute. I did a series of monthly wall hangings/table toppers last year, and was thinking that I ought to post those with directions...quick little projects are fun to do and give you enough satisfaction when time is short.

I like doing small things - they get finished :))

I really like the Galaxy Star quilt - definitely has little boy written all over it.

Hoppy Easter

How bright and cheerful that quilt is. Great way to use the fabric and you have it done in time for Easter.

I also adore the galaxy star quilt you showed earlier. I would never be able to give it up!
