Day 2 and other stuff

So how're ya'll doing? I made day 2 without buying anything. Of course I was home with a bad back so I didn't have the opportunity to shop. :-) Well I guess I could have done internet shopping but spent the day instead catching up on blogs. I didn't make many comments as I was dozing in and out all day and reading in odd minutes but I did visit everyone. And if I'm going to keep my vow to myself to only work on UFOs this month I need to stop reading blogs cause you guys are working on some AWESOME things right now and I find I want to do every single one of them myself!!! Which could be why I have so many incomplete projects to start with. :-)

I did do a little sewing between naps. I mean you can only lay down so long before that hurts worse than the pain you're laying down to relieve. So I'd sew a few seams, read some blogs, then rest a bit and repeat the cycle. Doing that I was able to get about 1/2 of the top assembled from the kit I bought last week. It's turning out real cute. I think I'm going to like this one. Pictures later in the week when I get the top finished. And I used my Chinese Coins as leaders/enders so that project also progressed a bit.

I noticed as I went to post this note that this is my 250th post! So in the spirit of what seems to be becoming a tradition in blogland I'll draw names from everyone who leaves a comment before I put my next post up tomorrow morning and the winner will receive a little something from me.

After being out all last week with my back, you have my sympathy and empathy. Glad you were able to make youself get a little something accomplished as well. I'm gonna call you later today or tomorrow. I have a project in mind that I need you to do a name in wonky letter for me. Talk to you soon, baby girl.

Sorry to hear about your back! I suffer from a bad back and it sure can make you miserable.

I love your comment about looking at other's blogs and wanting to do what they are doing! I think there is a direct corrolation with the # of blogs you follow and the # of uFos you have! LOL

Congrats on 250th posting!! and on the awesome cleanup job you are doing in your sewing space. When you are done, let me know, I'll send you a plane ticket to CT to do the same thing to mine!

not even internet shopping! I'm impressed! Seems like when I am surfing I get drawn to ebay and well, as they say, the rest is history!
Hope your back is better SOON!!!

Take care of your back. I battle it all the time, and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Hang in there.

Don't you just hate it that sometimes our bodies can't keep up with what we *want* to do?? I struggle with back issues too so I hope you heal up quickly.

I am proud of you not going internet shopping, I was looking today but didn't buy anything either. You are my inspiration!

Nancy, I sure hope you didn't booger up that back cleaning and reorganizing your sewing space! You were doing so well in sticking to it even if it was just for 15 minutes.

Hope you get to feeling better--and soon!

Congrats on 250 posts! I have a long way to go before I reach that mark!

Hope your back feels better soon. We need you feeling up to par to finish up those UFOs!

Your cleaning up inspired me to do some organizing of my stash. Hope the back returns to what is 'normal' for you. CarGuy has a very bad back (2 surgeries) so I kinda know what you folks with bad backs go thru. Take care.

You can stick with it! Both the non buying and finishing up some UFO's. I finished my 12th UFO - my Chinese Coins - but was bad at the HeartStrings sew-in and bought a big of fabric.

Ouch, sorry about your back. Hope you're feeling better soon. Cuz you've got more organizing to do, young lady! Seriously, take it easy for a while, Nancy. We want you back in tip-top form!

Back trouble? Ouch. Sympathies. Congrats on your 250th post. It really is amazing how they build up without you realising. Keep at the no buy. I'm just off to buy some embroidery thread and that is all I'm buying!
