This is another of the tops I sent home with Niles. I did this as a weekend frenzy with an online group I was on a few years ago. I love the colors and the design but it's not a size that I find very useful. If I remember it's about 70" square. Not big enough for a bed quilt but too big for a lap quilt. But it should work for an older child.

I have a raging ear infection. :-( I went to the doctor this morning and got antibiotic drops for my ears and then tried to go to work. After a few hours I just gave it up and am on my way home now. (Via my husband's office so I could check my email and post this note.) That whole side of my face hurts down into my jaw. So I'll be taking a few days off until it doesn't hurt so much and I can move my head without getting dizzy. Hopefully our internet will be back in the next few days. The part is in just waiting for the tech to be able to come out and install it. Too bad it's out while I'm going to be home and not able to do much around the house. Guess it'll be a good opportunity to catch up on the stash of movies I have waiting to be watched.

Sorry to hear you are under the weather. I like the top. I know what you mean about odd sizes but sometimes you just gotta make the top anyway.

poor Nancy--hope the meds kick in and help you start to feel better soon.

I'm so sorry to read about your ear infections. Those are so miserable. And being without the Internet might even be worse. ;)

I hope you feel better soon.

Very nice donation top and a perfect size for an older child!

I hope you are feeling better. And here's hoping that your internet is hooked up soon.

Cheers!

I like this quilt-but agree what were they thinking size wise?? great donation. bummer about no internet while you recover at home-ear infections when you are an adult are oh so painful! hope you are feeling relief quickly. hugs

This is the same pattern that I made my daughter's wedding guest quilt...except that it has embroidery and applique in the middle and applique on the borders...mine is 65" square, the blocks are Indian Hatchet blocks and the book is a book about memory quilts...forget the exact title. It is laid out the same though.
Nice colours...mine is (of necessity) just off white with pastels (pink and blue...in fact some of the fabric are from some of my lists...maybe some from you even!)

I don't like making square quilts either and just had to make some for that EQ contest. Well, I guess I didn't HAVE to do it but I love entering challenges.

I hope you feel better soon. An ear infection is not fun!

nice quilt! And hope that by the time you read this, your ear infection is just a vague memory. For some reason, ear infections are the worst thing to have. Thank goodness it's been a LONG time since I've had one. And I HOPE you get your internet problems fixed soon! In the meantime, just rest and take care of yourself!
