This is what I've accomplished so far this morning. There is no before picture but think about that picture with the treadmill in it and this closet looked MUCH worse. It's about 2' deep by 7' long and was PACKED! I tossed 2 large garbage bags of stuff plus a large bag of clothes to go to Goodwill. Plus a laser printer (that didn't work!), an old scanner, and the backup to my backup sewing machine (which will go to Goodwill) Just look at all that storage space I've cleared up!!!!! And if you look REAL close you might catch a glimpse of my kitty helper. :-)So now, do I move the UFOs in there or do I put all those shoeboxes of scraps in there? My first inclination was to put the UFOs there. But if I ever have any hope of finishing some of them I think I need to have them where I can see them. At least maybe a dozen of them. That wouldn't be too overwhelming. And the rest can go in totes on the closet floor. In fact if I remember correctly the shelves on the side of the closet were set to a height that my big totes will slip under. So it's decided. A dozen UFOs go in the sewing room, the rest go in the closet. Back to work for me.

you are much braver than I...I refused to post before pics of My Creative Mind...after my 2 wk long adventure of Clean Sweeping it I can walk in MCM and know right where to find anything I am looking for and actually enjoy being in there for hours and hours on end...it has been good therapy for me.

I need to go back and organize my closet too but quilting is more fun than cleaning!
I like your idea of having a group of UFO's out and accessible to work on. I've made good progress on mine the last couple years thanks to the Stashbuster UFO challenge.
